Paternity of Children

Morgan can help with paternity issues including making or defending Court applications to determine the paternity of a child.

If you are wanting to establish who the father of your child is or if you believe you are the father of a child but the mother does not accept this, an application can be made to the Court for a Declaration as to Paternity.  This may be useful if the father is unwilling to sign the birth certificate and you need a Court Order specifying that he is the father to provide to Work and Income for your benefit status.

If a mother does not accept you are the father but you believe that you are, an application can be made to the Court and this may encourage all parties to undergo DNA testing.
